Human performance can be viewed as the central core of “socio-technical” system performance. Humans interact directly with hardware and software to accomplish various system functions. The human/hardware/software system is supported by and interacts with various facilities, support organizations and management processes. All of these system elements are immersed in, and directly or indirectly affected by the organizational or corporate culture. And, all of that is surrounded by and interactive with the external environment-both physical and social.
