A procedure is designed to be a performance aid for humans doing a job or task. They should be designed to meet the needs, capabilities, and limitations of humans performing that specific job or task and should be tested before use to assure usability as well as technical accurancy. And, the procedures should be maintained with appropriate controls to assure they remain accurate and up to date throughout the system life time.
