We already have Near Miss and Incident forms that we are using. Can we use our current forms in OPIS.

Yes. We designed OPIS from the ground up to support easy customization for each customer. Our base price for the system includes customization to match your requested report (form) fields. If you have unique requirements, we will also be glad to give you a specific quotation for customizing OPIS to meet your needs.

| Q. |
We have an Abnormal Operation form that we require operators to fill out when they have to enter into an abnormal operating procedure. Could this be added to OPIS.

Yes. We could add such a form as a new "area" in OPIS (i.e., similar to the Near Miss Report or Incident Report areas). Because we designed OPIS for such customization/additions, we can offer such services at very reasonable costs.

| Q. |
Once OPIS is up and running at my site, can I customize the reports in OPIS myself.

We do not currently offer administrative tools to allow you to add/modify the reports yourself; however, such tools are in the planning stage. If this is an important capability for your organization, please give us a call, and we can let you know when such administrative tools might be available and/or discuss how we might otherwise meet your needs.

Our company uses ORACLE exclusively, can we use ORACLE in stead of SQL Server for the OPIS database.

Our current offering only works with Microsoft SQL Server (version 7 or 2000); however, a version that supports ORACLE is under development. Please give us a call if you are interested in using OPIS with an ORACLE database.

We are a small company and do not have the resources purchase, install, and maintain SQL Server. Is there a way to use a Microsoft Access database in stead?

OPIS does not support the use of an Access database; however. OPIS can be deployed using Microsoft's SQL Server Desktop Engine. This is essentially a "light" version of SQL Server that Microsoft allows developers to redistribute (royalty free). Even this "light" version is relatively powerful and can work well for all but very large companies.
